The man GOD has called to fill the position of missionary pastor for Benchmark Baptist Fellowship is Pastor Clyde Duncan. Pastor Duncan was saved in May of 1964 in Coloma, Michigan and in February of 1965, he surrendered to the call to preach the Gospel. He attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary located in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated in 1969.

After his graduation, Pastor Duncan accepted the call to pastor Victory Baptist Church in Decatur, Michigan where he served until 1972. Pastor Duncan then moved to Battle Creek, Michigan and began to pastor Antioch Baptist Church until 1977. In December of that year, Pastor Duncan moved to the Kingstowne area and accepted the call to pastor the First Baptist Church of Kingstowne where he pastured until called to fill the position as Missionary Pastor at Benchmark Baptist Fellowship in May 2007.

Pastor Duncan has continued his education since coming to Virginia and has earned his Masters in Theology and his PhD in Church History. Today, he assists the local seminary, the Mid-Atlantic Baptist Institute, by teaching Bible Manners and Customs and Soul Winning.

The members of the church feel honored that GOD would send them such a devoted man to lead them.
